Why to I get the feeling that The Flim Flam Brothers and The Apple Family were engaged in a dumb contest during "The Super Speedy Cider Squeesy 6000"? Here are some cases for that theory.
On The Apple Family side, you have the fact that Granny Smith issued a challenge in which The Apple Family had nothing to gain and everything to lose. Furthermore, the Flim Flam Brothers may not have had access to the apple trees anyway, so they wouldn't be able to sell Apple Cider at all. Perhaps the sheer volume of the apple making procedure could have even made the Apple Family the same amount of money they would get in the summers anyway.
Not to be outdone, The Flim Flam Brothers gave The Apple Family an obviously unfair contract (neither side gave another offer). In the contest itself, they could have only sold the untainted Cider (although to be fair, the Apples might have gotten them disqualified on barrel stuffing in that they put objects in the barrels to make it look like they produced more Cider than they actually.
Could you explain these points away?
